Thaniks Tim and Michael. Last I heard, about a week ago, Ed was visiting a friend on his pig-hunting ranch in TX and had some sort of setback with his back or legs, making it difficult to walk. So he had to head back to the hospital yet again. This may not be precise in detail but basically the story. I try not to call or otherwise bug him during these long silences, assuming he wants privacy. When he’s posting here, we know he’s feeling good. Should I hear anything major either good or bad I’ll be sure to share it with his many friends and students here. Thanks for asking, dave

I look forward to reading more Ashby. I need to learn about turbolators and EFOC as well as gaze at some diagrams and reports. I hope he’s feeling better.

Got an email from Dr. Ed, this morning and he said that His Health was good, Body was spent, sign of a life well lived!
It looks as though he has to have both knees replaced, and this will happen with in the next few months.
