        How do a check a bow to see if a limb is twisted? Had a bit of a scare. I put some adhesive backed felt silencers on my bow limb.Used a bow stringer to put on bow string everything looked good. Went outside and shot a few arrows and checked the string at the groves and one had slipped off to the side. Took the string off and threw the silencers in the trash. Put the string back on and shot a few arrows and the string stays in the grove so I think I’m okay.

          With the bow strung, lay one tip on the floor, and with the string up riser hanging down, sight down the string to the other tip. Any twist in either limb will be obvious.

          Sounds like it’s OK. Most bows are tough to twist a limb on. It can happen, but usually takes real abuse.

            as already mentioned by handirifle, looking down the string will usually show up any twist in the tips–

            When I string my bow I always Double check – to be sure the string is actually in the groove of the string nock.

            —-Once I strung up and visually checked [ which I do everytime] and noticed one side was off — maybe this happened to you?

            always good to check the nocks on each limb before shooting IMHO
