I have a friend who used a rubber type tip protector, got his bow wet, kind of shook off the moisture, put his bow away for a couple of weeks. When he got back to it, the moisture that had been trapped inside that rubber type limb protector had played havoc on his limb tip. Lesson????

My favorite limb tip protector is Me! I just try to be aware of my surroundings and take care with my bows.

Lesson? Why yes, don’t get your bow wet! 😀
Here’s the one I’ve been happily using:

That’s my favorite, too. If I think I have encountered moisture, even foliage wet from dew, the tip protector comes off for inspection and drying as needed.

Same. I have it on several different bows, and I’ve never had one come off accidentally, yet it comes off easily (without having to unstring the bow, etc). for drying/cleaning. Best tip protector I’ve used.

I use a 2″ piece of latex tubing like the kind found on a slingshot band. It’s quiet and best of all; cheap!

That puts the “lesson” to be learned on a broader scope than “don’t hunt in the rain” 😀
Thanks Steve, I’ll pass it on.
Don’t mention it! My wife says that if there is something obvious, I’ll be the first one to say it. Not sure what she means.

My favorite limb tip protector? I just pick a nice leaf to rest my limb tip on while laying in wait for some hapless critter to come along. If I lose it? Its OK the trees will make more. 😀
