Ahhhhh, green at its best. Aluminum frame, mid 80’s Cannondale M400, Shamano Deore gearing, Ritchie aluminum wheels, big cantilever brakes…..and people powered. A little slow uphill but I think that’s me…not the bike. 😀
The panniers provide lots of space for “stuff”, including a takedown bow and limbs. You can haul a longbow in a bow sock by tying it to the head tube and the rear rack. Works great and helps with the C/P, and helps shed some pounds. -
Looks like you got a plan and everything covered. I’ve thought about going the same type of route, but never figured out how to get my kills out of the woods on a bike. What is your plan if you don’t mind my asking.

Ah George, Bounty Hunter stole my joke with his serious question. I was going to ask, “But where’s the moose ride?” 😛 I am skinny and my butt never fit a bicycle seat well, and my legs don’t pump nearly as good as they walk. I’ll smile and wave as you pass me on the trail.

Glad to see you’ve chosen a ‘traditional’ mtn. bike and not one of those new-fangled dual-suspension jobs!
Hook that baby up to a BOB trailer and you’ve got enough capacity for carrying camp/quarters.

Well around here there aren’t “trails” into the hunting ground, and that’s good. I use the bike to travel the secondary roads since I live only about two to five miles from a huge SGL (State Game Land). As for getting the deer out? I’ll just hide the critter until I can ride home and bring the Silverado back. 8^). I probably could fashion a cart for towing, but I’m not that ambitious. Also, if I ride back home for the truck, I can recruit help. 😉

I don’t know George. Have you done an enviromental impact study? 😀 Are you just going to go around tearing up the landscape like the young hooligan you are? :D:D Just kidding of course. I picked up an old bike to toss in the back of my truck. There are a couple of places in Okla. where you can park but the rest is walk in or bicycle. Be kinda hard to loose the bike with that color. You do know that for an extra .50 you could have gotten a green bike.:D:D:D

One thing about the old Cannondales is they weren’t afraid to use some “unique” colors . I remember seeing it in the paper, listed at $150.00, I called the seller and told here to hold it….I would buy it. Even in the 1980’s that was cheap for a Cannondale bike. It could have been pink with purple polkadots and I would still have bought it.

See there I never even thought about riding back to the truck……learns something everyday. Thanks
