Have always wanted to toss out an ode to “our thing”. My offering for better or worse.

        Days of fire

        Silenced by string

        I felt the Earth

        And heard her sing

        Deaf no more

        To that which bleeds

        I bend this bow

        To plant a seed

        To give life breath

        I’ll take little

        And be content with less.

I like that Paleoman. Contentedness is for some an elusive thing.

                Speaking of cabin fever…

A bobcat (small front loader) came today, and the front lawn is covered in a 6′ (as high as the bobcat can lift) snow bank. I mean like 20 ft by 30 ft. The snow bank in the back yard is twice that size. We can’t see the cars go by out on the street. Can’t see Mushroom Bill walk by, unless he is wearing a hat.

I have a gentler recurv in the works, watching the second limb set after just steaming it. Have to watch it set for 24 hours. Also making a… well a… I guess I have to say a long bow. although it is only 48″ long. I think I prefer to call it a flat bow, as it doesn’t have the sexy curves of a recurv.

Well that’s the long and short of it for these snowbound archers.:)

Although, I also hope you’re able to leave your cabin soon…

I would honestly like to scribble a bit someday. I may get brave again and submit something someday. Thanks again for the feedback.

I only get cabin fever when I’m in town.

                                  I enjoyed that.
