I have picked up two Voodoo Kustom longbows- I only think their are only about six made in the world. These bows are the coolest bows made that I have seen. Not bragging just would like for people to see the bows. Comment please

That’s a cool looking bow. What’s that riser made out of? I really like the arrow head design on the belly there.

The riser is made of real elk antler believe it or not- It takes over a year for the antler to dry to make the riser- Its a pretty neat process how they are made.

                Sure enough “handsome” looking…

But having only 2 times tried to do anything with antler, I can only imagine how bad that STANK to cut and drill that horn for the riser! I’ve tried to file and drill and it about made me gag…

Very cool! Those likely were made to hunt…but I dunno…they’re awfully attractive… 8)

How do they shoot? I’d be interested to know how the bowyer deal with the inherent weakness of antler under stress. The bolt holes for the limb bolts are likely drilled oversize and reinforced with resin, my guess. But without inserting, say, a steel rod lengthwise through the antler I’d fear it would break under stress. Or maybe it’s core-filled, and/or has a thick external coating of epoxy? Just curious. Functional art, for sure. How’s their weight compared to a standard bow with about the same build? Want to swap one of them for some nice elk ivories? 😛

What a beaut! The cool factor is off the charts for this guy!

Dave, I didn’t know antler was so weak. They seem pretty hard to me, but I am Young Grasshoppah.

Interesting Idea. I wonder how the antler will hold up to shooting strain. Also, How is the hand shock? Has to be some there.
