A beautiful Michigan morning got this out of me before I go about the rest of the day. There was a day I’d have been embarrassed to do something like this, but have gotten over it:D
Blue skies and warm yellow sun
A toast of rainwater
And the Deed is done
Summer is here
It won’t stay long.
The rustle in the leaves and the treetop birdsong.
Green is the stage and screen.
Where new Life rehearses.
The new songs and new verses.
From Bugs and Bees to
Thunderstorms and wind whipped trees.
Go Out.
Look and See.
The Wild of this Land and
What it means to be Free.

Before long we will have sonnets, and love songs…
Am actually thinking of hunting early Nov. in W. Ma. with the stick and string. I can visit my parents (upper 70’s now) and hunt tons of land right out the door where I grew up. Good mix, and I’d have time to figure out what a sonnet is:D

Paleo, sounds like a great visit/hunt planned. Remember, a sonnet, whatever that is, was written before it was named. best, dwc

Remember: If you get lost follow a stream downstream, hit a road in 3 miles. Guaranteed!!!
Good God, I’m almost as old as your parents. sigh…
