Hey guys hope all your hunting outings this season were safe and enjoyable. Now that the off-season is fast approaching, it’s time i start goofing around with some ideas with quivers. I was wondering if anyone has made a back quiver (i have a bow mounted quiver but i ordered a new bow and i fear the riser is too long for it, plus being in a ground blind its one less thing i have to worry about knocking branches). I read some of the other forums but haven’t gotten the ball rolling. Any suggestions?:D

        Thanks for your time

Hullo Matt. I too tried to make a backquiver last off season, but I found it a very frustrating experience. So instead of starting from scratch I purchased a DIY backquiver kit from 3 Rivers. I was able to build it without to many hiccups and have found it to be a very servicable quiver. Last time I checked their website they still had it advertised. Might be the way to go if you find the do it from scratch method too difficult.

Check back in the forum for a build of a St. Charles style back quiver by Duncan. His build was very informative and accurate, seeing how I own an original. His post started on Nov. 4th.

If the St. Charles quiver doesn’t work out i’ll defiantly look into the quivers in 3rivers.

              THANKS GUYS! 😀

The only other quivers I have made are the side stalker type but mine can be worn in multiple positions including as a back quiver. It is reletively easy to build and I have a template that I have shared with others that just want to make their own. The tempate can me changed to suit your needs such as the length for those using longer arrows, etc. I’ll post some pics tonight.

I really like the basket quiver I ordered from 3 Rivers.

Here’s a couple of my quivers that I made. A back quiver and one of the side/back quivers.

Here’s a shot of one I made a few years back. I did a lot of research for styles and designs before beginning, and saw one nearly the same as this while attending a rendezvous that summer. A thought for you is if you know someone that can is to have them custom make one for you so then it will sit nicely and not cause problems in the

                        snitkerb,

That’s a work of art! I like the application of the fox fur with the fringed side still there. Very cool.

                        Duncan
