This winter I will have depleted my stock of cedar shafts, and am switching to douglas fir. I would appreciate if those of you who have used douglas fir could recommend specific stain and sealer combinations for me to use with them. Got my phone replaced, going hunting tomorrow then I’ll get pics here of what I use. Meanwhile you can spend lots of time straightening those shafts. 2-3 times never hurt:)
Buddy of mine’s new arrows look pretty good and they would probably shoot well if they were straight.:roll: Dunno about some!!!!

Hey Ralph, do you wipe that on with a rag or are you using it in a dipping tube?

Thanks for the tips Ralph, I’m going to head out to the hardware store tomorrow and see what they’ve got. I just ordered a couple dozen douglas fir shafts so will be able to put them to the test soon 😉
