Hey Yall, I just want to get to know some folks. I am T.J. or Bow-Cephus, I am 19 for another month and am a NMSU student. I am trying to accumulate the things I need to build trad bows. I have been a succesful archer for some time now, but as my dad’s eyes become poorer we are converting to trad bows; and here I have found an insperation.
Thanks, and God Bless

Just curious but how long has everyone been making bows and what kind do you make?

Bow-Cephus or T. J.- Welcome to the forum! You’ll find a lot of cantankerous old- archers!- and some young guys and gals- get in touch with GreattreeArcher as he is in college also. Where is NMSU and what are you majoring in? Check out the Bowyers Bench forum, 3Rivers catalog, Primitive Archery mag and of course, Traditional Bowhunter for supplies and articles on building trad bows and arrows.
Ah, if we had but the faith of a mustard seed!- Good hunting and God Bless.-Bert -

Bow,
I enjoy making selfbows from the local hickory. I’ve been making them since 1999. I’ve been shooting traditional since about 1967 at age 12 when I got a Shakespeare solid glass target bow.
