        I watched a neat video by a fella named Jimmy Blackmon on youtube the other day where he checks the trajectory of his arrow by using the same POA as he moves back 5 yard increments between each shot, measuring the gap between POA and POI until he’s point on.

        I don’t know why but I’ve always been quite haphazard in figuring my gaps, I’ve never been systematic like this. It is rather obvious in hindsight 😳

        Anyway, I had fun at the range yesterday plotting the trajectory of my hunting arrows from 10metres out to point on. It was very gusty so I want to do it again in better conditions, but I thought it was very worth while to get a better conscious picture of exactly what the arrow is doing 😀

        I thought it might be fun if other guys were interested and gave it a go to put results here along with bow and arrow details to compare what’s going on. Might give us all some food for thought?

          The end is a bit misleading.. it was point on at about 42.5m which would see a continuation of that steep drop off at the end.

          Edit: I forgot to say too, my draw was 28inches and shaft was 30 inches nock to base of head.

          2nd Edit: I shot split finger with mid finger anchor in corner of mouth. Blackmon said in another video that he reckons the best combination in terms of the gap is the fastest arrow with the highest anchor, so I might give 3 under a go next time to see what kind of difference it makes with the gaps.
