Just in case any are planning to attend the Pope and Young meeting in Dallas, Lord willing, I will be presenting a seminar on “EFOC and the Hunting Arrow”. It is scheduled for Thursday, April 13th, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Hope to see some of you there.

Ed, great to see you back, which indicates you’re on the mend. Seeing your presentation and a chance to buy you a double shot of Wild Turkey would be among the few things in the universe that would get me to Dallas, but those oil boys down there are charging so much for their gas I can barely afford to drive to town any more.

Seriously, I do encourage anyone who can make it to this event to do their best to catch Ed’s presentation. He’s no average “talking head” but always gives an exceptional presentation. I hope someone videos it for the greater good.

Just an hour ago I broke out the bow and shot the first arrows since we got buried in snow a few months ago. And once again I was amazed at what weight and FOC can do. With field points I was shooting completely through a fairly new high quality black foam target with every arrow, and this from a #53 bow. I started with a front-end total weight of 550 grains (insert, head, screw-in adapter), then dropped to 420 and still shot way through. Only down at a total front weight of 325 did the target contain the arrows.

Others can remain happily in the dark ages if they want, but this magic works! Dave

            David,

Know exactly what your talking about in the penetration department. Lastyear at K’Zoo I carried a brand new 12″ thick Black Hole target for my part of the siminar. With only afew shot in it (while at the siminar) I was putting approx 3″ of arrow out the back. Until I went to high FOC arrows one of these targets would last me pretty close to a year. Since the siminar I can’t shoot anywhere close to the center of the target without poking arrow out the back.:D

BTW, I was only shooting a 55# bow while there.

The EFOC presentation at Pope and Young went extremely well, and it was very well received. We ARE making headway in getting folks to understand AND USE EFOC/UEFOC arrow setups. I was amazed at the number of folks already using them, and seeking more information about them.

Thanks again, Ed, for your many years of selfless work on behalf of more lethal arrows, more humane kills, more recovered animals and, bottom line, greater hunter success. Someday, when the majority belatedly wakes up to what you have done and are doing to bring more efficiency and dignity to bowhunting, you will be honored among bowhunting’s all-time heroes. For now you have to put up with inexplicably jealous nay-saying from the Flat Earthers. But you know, I trust, that your converts are tenacious in our prosetylizing and making headway every day. Thanks, Dave

I had the oprotunity to attend Dr Ashbys seminar and it was fantastic. As Ed I was supervised at the number of mechinacial bow shooters that had a interest in the concepts of FOC. This was encouraging for the potential reduction of wounding and recovery rates for archery hunted game.

I had the oprotunity to record the seminar .Ed was gracious enough to repeat demonstrations after the seminar so I could video them. As usual I had trouble potographing the first time around. and that was before we discused FOC over Wild Turkey 101 and Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey 😆

Hope to have the seminar recording posted on the web site in coming weeks/months:)

Do you have the video up on your site yet? I went looking around on it but didn’t find it.

Let us know, I am anxious to see it!

                          Regards,

Sorry it is not even downloaded from the camera yet. Hoping to get that done this week .It will be a while after that ,that the web guy gets it done. I recorded Ed’s voice .It has to be matched up with his power point presentation and the video portion of the demonstrations.

I have no estimate of time to get this done. It will be worth the effort though as the seminar was excellent.

When it is on the web site I will post to let people know.

                            JPC thanks for your interest

If you’ve never attended one of the siminars, you need to watch it when Joe gets everything up and running.

                              Well worth the time.
