Earlier this year, maybe it was last winter, I was discussing arrows, stains, and sealers, etc. Well, my son broke or lost all but three of my arrows this summer, so I had to make a move. I ended up buying more cedars. Primarily, because I have a taper tool and it’s my understanding that I wouldn’t have been able to use it with douglas fir shafts.
I bought the Stalker Stain from Lost Nation Archery. I chose yellow. I bought Gasket Lacquer, a Big Dipper tube and the Speed Coat Dipper Cap Kit. I used a cloth to stain the arrows, two coats. The gasket lacquer, tube, and kit worked slick for sealing the arrows. I did two coats of gasket lacquer as well. I really like the results. I’ll post some pics shortly.
