I have been shooting a really great glove for almost three years now, a Paulette made of elk hide, but it has a small hole in the middle finger. I have read and heard alot of guys saying that with gloves you are either breaking it in or shooting a worn-out glove. So… has anyone tried the glove offered by 3 Rivers with the cardovan? They say they’re the last glove you will have to buy. Some have said they are a bit too thick and cant feel as much. Any opinions?

Yes I use this glove. It is made by Neet. There is no finger pinch at all with this glove. It is a little thick but that doesn’t bother me and is more comfortable. I shoot almost every day, and there is no wear on this glove with a year’s worth of shooting. However, the thread finally started unraveling on one of the fingers and my wife sewed it back. For the money, you can’t go wrong if you don’t care about a thick glove.

I just bought and started shooting the same Neet glove. It is stiff and thick. Well made and attractive…looks like the old time gloves you might see in old pictures. I do like it,for reasons already stated, however,I just can’t seem to feel my anchor point with it. I have no complaints at all with it,it seems like it is just me. I shoot 3 fingers split, and anchor at my mouth corner,on my middle finger. I am glad I bought it,to compare with other gloves, and to see how I shoot with a tab/glove. Maybe I just need to shoot with it more..as it gives me a smooth, slick release.Take care,Lee

Thanks for the feedback guys. Im planning on getting one soon so that it will be shot in by season. Sounds like it might work, and I don’t want to keep changing gloves. By the way, when you say its thick, what glove were you using before it? I shot a Damascus for a short time and it was super thin for my liking, so maybe “too thick” is what Im already used to.

I don’t shoot with a glove, but use a Cordovan tab from Alaska bowhunting supply. it’s lasted for 6 years now & not showing any signs of wearing out. I bought two so I’d have a replacement, but so far the second one is still in the drawer. Cordovan is tough. You will probably like the Cordovan glove. I’d get it if I used a glove.

This glove is a lot thicker than Damascus. Think of a Damascus glove with a thick piece of leather over it.

I shoot with a Cordovan tab sometimes, and this glove has less pinch than that. Having said that, I have no problem at all finding my anchor with the middle finger at the corner of my mouth with this glove. You can shoot all day, and your fingers will not be sore.

I shot a Damascus until it wore out. I bought 2 gloves from 3 Rivers, the cordovan glove you mentioned and the one with the Denier over the fingers. The codovan glove was too stiff for me but the slickness of the Denier glove was amazing and it is a bit thicker than the Damascus. I also like the Neet finger tabs.
