Yes sir walked out side this morning and checked the temp… 29 i’ll have to wait till the afternoon hunt. Just can’t handel the cold.:cry:

Just needed to say that I went to your site and have to compliment you on some wonderful pieces there….particularly the piece about your Dad, growing up and your assortment of bows… I came later in life to traditional archery though I did tinker with a bit in early 90’s when I owned a “speed shop” ( aka compound pro shop ). Your story, especially how we can feel the reverence and love you have for your Dad is touching…well done Brother 😀

Me too. I wore a couple layers of wool in the tree last evening. You can’t beat it for anything and quiet too. No hunting for me today – has been raining buckets since before dawn. Looks like we are going to make up some ground for the summers’ drought this weekend!

It was 41 degrees, windy, and pouring rain at our Wisconsin property this morning. I really can’t complain since I killed a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner.

You guys need to come to TX and hunt the bow season. 70 degrees in the morning gnats flying up your nose and getting in your eyes biting flies. Sweating like a pig even though you wearing a camo T shirt. Then the afternoon hunt close to 90 degrees. Yea, I’ll take the cold 😛

Sounds like heaven:!: unfortunately I have a very bad case of rheumatoid arthritis so the damp cold goes right through me:x. I love, and quite frankly, feel and do everything better in hot weather. Hotter the better. Makes my wife crazy as I LOVE 100* days w 100% humidity 😯 however, my most favorite pursuits, and my favorite place to be, is cold weather at my camp deep n the Adirondacks. Getting into real frosts already, last few weeks woke up to cruchy grass, and love it:!: you can almost smell the approaching rut. The bears are out in full force feeding, getting ready for the big chill ahead. when i walk through the woods, if im not paying attention, i invariably am treated (cursed?) with the sound of fleeing grouse as their wings beat furiously through my groves of aspen and sugar maple…

That true cold, with all the snow etc invigorates me even though my bones may creak a bit 😉
