  So I know this one has been around awhile but I finally get to reading it and what did Dave do? He had to reference other books I have not read. “Dersu the Trapper” and “Ishmael” Now this may not be a big deal to some of you who may have read these books already as they too have been around a good while. But I was so taken by these that I had to start them before finishing Dave’s book. I’ve finished Dersu and loved every minute of it and am just getting into Ishmael while I’ve picked up Heartsblood again. Thanks again Dave for Heartsblood, it’s like 3 gifts in one!

  I own every one of Daniel Quinn’s books. The guy has had a huge impact on my life.
  
  I also have Heartsblood and it, too, is a powerful book.

  Be careful–if you look at all Dave P’s notes and such you will discover the likes of Shepard and Geist and your libraries will grow as your pocket book diminishes:D
  
  But you will enjoy all.
