        Anyone use one of these, or something similar?

        So far, I’m liking it. I carry the rest of my arrows in a side quiver, but have one very easily accessible if a sudden shot opportunity presents itself. Doesn’t add much weight to the bow at all.

          Thanks for info Bruce. I love one arrow quivers, been using Skookums’ for years, one still I’m still using and hanging in it’s there, the other broke the other day. I’ve been unable to find info on Skookum so I’ll give Kaniti a look at.

            Ralph –

            Black Widow also offers something similar, though I have not tried it. A friend has one on his longbow and seems to like it. The only thing that turned me off to the BW version is that it mounts on the bow with adhesive backing. On the other hand, it’s only $17, so maybe worth a try if you don’t mind the adhesive.

                Yeah Bruce, I have a friend that has one of those mounted on a 3 piece long bow. I didn’t like so much of the arrow being unsupported and so much of the fletched end hanging free to hang up in stuff.

                You’ve seen this pic:

                It would be interesting to see a one arrow mount attached to the riser which would even have the arrow holders even closer together than this Great Northern does.

                There may be less reaction seeing that it’s not attached to the limbs????

                  Yeah, I think that in general, the closer a bow quiver is mounted to the riser fadeouts, rather than the limbs, the better. On my Thunderchild, the riser is so short that it makes that a little difficult, but I have it right at the end of the fadouts, and it doesn’t budge at all. I would also image that the close together that the hood and the gripper are, the less you’re going to get the effect that you can see in your pic.

                    Yep, the one that’s stuck on the bow with adhesive.

                    I agree on closer to the bow.

                      Has that got a tuffhead in it Bruce? I really like the look of those leather broadhead holders, but have always worried that it would restrict the broadheads you can use.

                        I can get a Meathead in there – just barely, due to their long length, but it is fully covered in the sheath.

                          I am using the same set up. Solo with a Safari Tuff side quiver.

                          My Tuffhead 225 head fits nice and snug. Covers the head completely.

                              I occasionally use a Skookum Dual Stalker when I hunt squirrels and rabbits. I like keepng a pair of broadheads handy separate from my small game arrows in case something like a raccoon or coyote presents itself.
