Anyone who lives or hunts in PA might be interested in aspects of this new study by Mark Duda, who specializes in opinion surveys on different wildlife and sporting issues, in this case what Pennsylvanians think about deer, deer hunting, and other related issues. Just fyi …

I’ll be looking at that. Thanks for the post. dwc
Wow, 1506 pages… I won’t get back to you tonight!

Thanks for the heads up Dave.

I did get a few minutes with it. It’s not quite so daunting as the number of pages would imply. Not a lot of surprises so far. Nice to see that hunting is #1 approved method of management. More to look over. Thanks for putting that link up, Dave. dwc

Yeah, it’s long. It came to me in an email from Duda as a one-page summary of the main points of interest to hunters. I wrote back and asked for a link to the summary, but they said there is none, but only a link to the full report. I considered not posting it, but figured there might be a few with enough interest to be willing to sort through the dross.

Dave, I’m actually glad you posted it. There is a great deal of information in there. There are some nice correlations one can draw from some of the info that are not the actual point of what is being surveyed. I like how it’s broken down by WMU as well. I hope I get a chance to really sit down with it and give it a read instead of a 2 minute glance. Be well.
