Hey all! I cant remeber if I already asked this question here or not,so please bear with me if I already did.
As many of you might already know,Bear is coming out with some new trad. bows this fall/winter. I am,a huge fan of Bear bows. Pretty well amped about this happening…buuuuttttt…lately..my eye has been wandering…I really like the looks of the Predator Custom, and the Hunter. Look alot like the older S.Kodiaks, which I just droooool over. Has anyone here any trigger time with a Predator? Like’em? Hate ’em? I feel like I am being a bit disloyal,or “cheatin”…but I NEED to know,ya know? Lemme know what ya think guys. Thanks! take care,Lee -
Hey I shoot a Predator Custom and LOVE IT. I shoot 54# @ 28″ and it shoot pretty fast. I traded my first bow, a bear grizzly with a some to boot at the Ky klassic, Was dissappointed in the the first time I shot it cause the doesn’t have much of a shelf and the right wing feather laid the top of my hand wide open. So my first shot with my new bow drew blood. My heart sank not to mension my hand hurt like crap. lol the brace height was way too low so it was loud and had a lot of hand shock but with a quick twist of the string fixed the problem and then got my grip situated and went to left wing and haven’t had a problem since and that was about a year and a half ago. I know this description doesn’t sound too good but I promise I love mine

I got a Predator Custom, 50# LH, last year and I love it. I was attracted to it for the same reason you mentioned. Looks alot like the old Super Kodiak. I also had some trouble with the shelf at first like Cody mentioned. The stock rug and strike plate just would not work for me. I installed a Bear original style bear hair rug and leather strike plate and problem solved! The only other equipment I have added to it are a Great Northern quiver, a 3 Rivers bow saddle leather handle, some home made yarn puff silencers, and some home made camo limb sleeves. Ready for hunting and very quiet.
