I have two old Bear bows a super magnum 48 and a kodiak mag. They are in pretty good shape and are the bows I hunt with primarily the super mag 48. Is there anyone out there that can cover the limbs front and back with snakeskin? Is this permanent or could it be removed at some future date if desired?

Applying real snake skin is not reversible. It is also expensive if you want someone else to do it.
If you want to do it yourself, snake skins are available in a variety of species for about $50.00.
There are also faux snakeskin coverings you can get from Kustom King which can be installed and removed easily yourself.

While it is an option, I do not recommend the plastic fake snakeskins. They are just vinyl tape and are shiny and not all that cheap. Nor do folks generally apply skins to the belly of a bow — which might or might not affect cast and performance; I don’t really know. You might ask about professional bow skinners in the Campfire forum, which a lot more folks visit. A rough guess is $200 per bow, skins included. I have two skinned bows. The prairie diamondback is entirely too light for good camo and I had to stain and refinish it. The cottonmouth is far prettier and perfect camo, but harder to find. Best luck, dave

Thanks for the info very helpful. I will repost the question in the campfire forum. I was going to try the fake skins to see if I liked the looks etc. but if they are shiny it defeats my purpose, I am trying to cover the shiny limb finnish that is on there.

Contact Mike Yancey. He sells skins and is a fine fellow to deal with.
