Got out this morning for a nice 30 target course. Wojo and I got through it twice. Missed Mike of course.

I had to do a classic SmithHammer gratuitous bow pic!!!

Looks like a blast! I really wish we had a 3D course somewhere nearby. One of these days I hope to have enough land to make a course of my own. But on the other hand, I’ve got more public land than I could walk in a lifetime, so the stumping is pretty much unlimited, so I can’t complain.

Very nice. And gratuitous bow pics are never actually gratuitous, in my totally gratuitous opinion…

Looks like a great archery range, I’m jealous.

Brennan and I had a blast, like always.

Brennan gets the shot of the day award.

Direct heart shot on a boar at 60 yards…first shot!

This western Pa or Maryland? Looks like fun. Dwc

Western PA is where we do the 3d shoots.

Western MD is where Mike lives and we rove.

                  Brennan should be more informative!!:D

Some of my best times have been stumping with friends. They have rules on 3-D courses you know.

no “rules” on these trad courses. just safety.

they have the stakes set for your shot, but we usually stir it up a bit and make the shots as hard or as easy as we want. we/i go to these 3d shoots for fun and practice for hunting situations. by the way, i stump too. equally as fun and challenging, and it too is lots of fun with a good friend!8)

Aaaand…what are the bows shown on these gratuitous pictures?

Looka like a shrew or elk heart on the right. 😀

Rules, eh? Shows you how much time I’ve ever spent on ‘official’ 3D courses. I just meant a place in the woods to set up a bunch of targets and have fun. Nothing against those who formally compete, but it’s not my interest.

                            Alex

The bow on the right is my Elk Heart with a Great Northern Quiver. Wojo will have to give you his bow info.

                              SH,

We are with you on that. You can note your scores on a card for each target and I think something happens in the end. We show up for fun and practice. No scores just real world shooting with some friendly pressure. It is a great time.

Brennan is right. No scores or competition here. Well, just friendly competion between us!:D

Alex, my bow is a Striker TDL 51# 58″

In addition to the targets, youse guys iz killin’ me here. Every 3D shoot I know of in New England that was scheduled since last fall has been cancelled because of the snow depth. We still have two feet on the ground and windchills dipping near zero. I enjoy shooting in the winter, I even relish cold weather – I just dislike losing arrows that I’ve known since they were uncut shafts! 👿

I was a brisk 18 deg this morning, but we did not stop moving. It was actually very pleasant! Thank for the great company again Brennan! Its my turn to come up your way and do some roving in the gamelands!8)

😀 Sorry I missed it.If I remember the fletch, Jason you got the coyote, and no doubt Brennen got the bedded elk. Is he still drilling every shot? Noticed you were not shooting the elkheart—I get first dibs if you wish to part–heck I only have two of Gregg’s works of art.

The back yard is ready when you two want to come down, Brennen as you know we have room here for the family–just need some notice so you don’t conflict with others–and the price is affordable:D

                                        Mike

Ps. Brennan you stay alert out there.

Mike, we are tricking you. We are both using orange wraps and feathers. The best way to tell us a part is Brennan’s using wood colored arrows. Mine are just black shafts.

And yes, Brennan is still drilling every shot!:x

Lake weather is coming fast, We should be starting our weekend trips soon. But first…turkey season!

No, not shooting the elkheart. I shoot the Striker way better. No plans on getting rid of it tho.8)
