Hiya Kirk and welcome to our very friendly group here. I learn something from somebody hear frequently, and I’ve been doing it forever. You’re starting out with a top-end stick there. Hope you have someone to help you get it tuned up, as a good tune and matching arrows are essential to reliable accuracy with a stick bow. And the process is fun, at least I think so. Homer

Skifrk, I am in the same boat as you. I hunted with a compound for a few years but only took two deer with it. I made the switch to traditional archery and bought a slightly used, very sweet Fox Triple Crown in May and have been inseparable from it ever since. I’m really looking forward to the journey of hunting with a long bow. Good luck practicing and happy hunting.

Got the bow tuned this past weekend along with some arrows and was so excited to shoot it. The wife was shaking her head watching me shoot in the rain but it shot great and was real quiet without silencers. I then dried the bow and arrows off and have been practicing form and reading Byron Ferguson’s book and watching the videos Masters of the BareBow.
