Hi Hank,
I am sorry to say that the digital issue of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine will NOT work on an iPad, iPhone or Blackberry at this time. The magazine requires a program called FlashPlayer and the devices do not support that software. I am looking into an upgrade but it has not been released yet and I don’t know what the price will be. 😯 As soon as I have more information I will let you know. The technology changes so fast I want to make sure we are moving in the RIGHT direction.
1.) How many of you would get Premium Memberships if you could read the magazine on one of these devices?
2.) What other magazines DO work on these devices. Maybe I can see what software they are using.

I don’t plan on getting one of these gagits, heck my cell phone is a Snapfon with large numbers etc, no camera, no net.. just the basics thank you 😛

I spend a good part of my day with technical stuff. When I am relaxing, I want a real book / magazine in front of me. Not a screen.
But here’s my suggestion. Do a survey. It will be more accurate than a forum thread.

Ditto!
Although, the digital out of print back issues are very cool and handy (and a great deal!), and I definitely use them, I prefer the paper edition.

I like to scan through the new issues, ads, articles, photos, the minute they appear on this website — viewed on my office computer’s big screen. But I save the serious reading for the real magazine. I enjoy both. I don’t even see how you could read it on a tiny screen. dave

The upgraded software is not as expensive as I first thought so we will probably go with it later this summer. I don’t really need a survey count as we will probably go with it either way. I agree that it would be hard to read on the small screens, but the iPad reader would be a great benefit. I’m not sure if that would also work on the Sony and Kindle readers but this is where the industry is going.
Thankfully, most of our readers still enjoy a magazine in their hand and we will keep providing those as well. 😆 We’re all about letting our readers have choices in how they view the magazine, but the choice is yours.
