I have been caught doing the same thing 😀 Those packs are great. They’re also excellent for getting some pack time on your feet while you’re ostensibly doing domestic duties (looking after your kids).

My only complaint is that when I do something he likes, my boy is in a prime position to pat me on the head and say “good boy daddy” like I’m a dog. As if carrying him around like a prince was not demeaning enough 😉

Gets even more demeaining when they get old enough to tell you when you are wrong, stupid, rude, etc. Or something like “If I said that in school, I’d be in the principles office.”

Keep in mind that you WILL teach them your WORST character defects. No way around it.

Awesome pic. Enjoy these times…they grow up to fast and next thing you know they are taking over your favorite bow and wearing you favorite wool jacket.

Also a side note. I just found your blog…excellent job. I’m looking forward to reading the posts you have on there. Thanks for making it. I know how time consuming it can be.

                    Good dad!

I carried my kids in a pack all over the place. My younger son would fuss if you put him down so I even carried him in the pack while I was gardening. The old people in the neighborhood thought that was a riot.

I miss those days. Got some great hikes in with the kids in the backpack. Once they start walking, those hikes slow down for a few years. I had my son in the pack during a winter walk and got onto some ice along the creek. I ended up jumping into the creek rather than falling down. I go soaked up to the nether regions, but my son luckily stayed dry. It was a brisk stroll home through the woods that morning! dwc

Love it! Except I ended up with two at once:), and I can’t quite figure out how to carry both of them and shoot at the same time:)
