        Hi Folks,
Do you know a source for 100 grain brass inserts for Beaman ICS 400/500 shafts? Their site lists inside diameter of 9/32, I think. Is that correct? Thanks! d

I would try 3 rivers. I shoot ics camo bowhunters 5/16. They do offer smaller diameters but do not specify size in the 100 grns inserts. I would try giving them a call. These guys are always very helpful

I got responses from a couple of dealers, including 3Rivers and Brave Heart. The consensus is that the 100 grainers are a tiny bit smaller in diameter and that using extra glue should solve the problem. I’m wondering if that little bit of wiggle can lead to slight alignment issues. Trial would tell. Perhaps the best way to up the weight is to go with a heavier adapter, which would put the weight farther north anyway.

Just got some of the 5/16″ from 3 rivers and with a little extra epoxy they work fine. Just be sure and turn the shaft as your pushing in the insert to properly spread out the epoxy. I also put on a field point before installing so that I can test spin the arrows to make sure the insert is aliened properly. I’m used them in Beman Bowhunter 300’s.

Thanks for the note. I might not need them now, as I shot my first bare shaft. 10 yards and 10 inches to the right. I can start cutting back my shafts… gently…
                Thanks! dwc
