          That was pretty funny man.

One time I had my girlfriend out with me, and we were following this buck’s trail. I was going really slow, and after about 1/2 hour I looked back to check in with her and she was 1/4 mile back sitting on a rock sunbathing!

Now THAT is funny, right there!!!

Sounds like you got yourself a good woman…maybe not a die-hard outdoorsy one, but she sounds like a hoot!

BTW, how’s your belt? Get the machete treatment???

Nice story… My Gf is an NYC woman, shopping?? fancy eats?? she’s in. Hunting, hiking???, ” Your life insurance up-to-date?? Have fun baby…” Gf loves to eat what I bring home, she just doesnt want to hear the stories, but gives me the space to go off for weeks at a time and I have places like here to share my adventures…

That was great. I let my wife read it and she loved it also.

Grumpy–Don’t do it! I showed it to Linda last night and she is now on that blog–loves it–and with comment–you know you guys have to sleep sometime–dish the machete or other blunt sharp weapons:shock:

I’m man enough to have sent this on to my wife, who suffers similar torment while we’re out walking the dogs. She’s not ever going to accompany me hunting, but it sounds like the two of you have pretty much the same disparity in pace in the woods that we do. Or as she says to me on a frequent basis: “Big deal. I’ve seen deer tracks before.”

                              Mike’s warning came too late….

As she read the first paragraph she muttered “Why would she want to…”

When she finished she said (in a deadpan voice) “That was funny.”

Then she gave me a lusty grin and said “Lets go to bed!”

While she listens intently when I talk about fishing, hunting, and the woods, and asks endless questions about the bows and arrows I have made, she will NEVER go hunting/fishing with me.

That was too funny but kudos to your wife for actually going with you and trying it out. Mine never would do that. Fishing yes. Hunting of any kind. No.

My better half enjoys going bird hunting with me now and then. She doesn’t carry a gun, but she likes going for long walks and watching the dogs work.

But it would be kind of tough to bring her along bow hunting. She’s a hiker (and a strong one), but not a hunter. I’ve tried to coach her on how to move quietly in the woods, but I’m afraid she’s missing that gene. 😀

Excellent read , Skinner . Personnally , I am anxiously waiting for the moving to come out . I’d pay well to see the ”LOOKS” that she gives you throughout the hunt.

Great read. Every time I say “We should go hunting together” she says, “I love that you love hunting and I love eating whatever you bring in, but when I see a cute little fuzzy animal I can’t help but scare it away from the danger.” I think I will let her stay in the kitchen or behind the crochet hook where she loves to be. Lol
