I have a Chekmate Beaver Creek long bow. I left it strung, and the string stretched. My brace height is such that my fletching sits on the shelf! The bowyer is awol, can’t get ahold of the guy I bought it from. Local archery shop says 8-9 inches! The bow is 58″ long. What should my brace height be? Thanks!

my R/D 58 inch bows like 7 1/4. 8-9 seems long to me but i didnt build that bow so. unless someone chimes in with the exact I would start around 7 and work my way up till its quiet and grouping well

          Hope this helps

That seems pretty high for a typical longbow. All of mine are between 7″ & 7-3/4″.

Thank you gents! I’ll start at 7.25″, and go from there!

Set it at 7.25″ and it shoots like laser beam! Thanks to all!
