My home town of Oro Valley, Arizona, next to Tucson, is building an archery range. It’ll have a practice range with two walking courses, 14 targets each. We have an under utilized gravel pit that sits almost in the middle of our small town and other that walking trails and a electric model airplane club it sits unused. The city council was persuaded to allow a range to be built. It has support of the AZ Game and Fish Dept. as well as a number of archery clubs in the area. But the very best part of it all is that the range is only two miles from my house! It’s supposed to open in the middle of October so until then I’ll be walking by to watch the build.

Sounds great Falconer. I always like to hear of disused sites getting a new lease of life for the public good. And some flu-flus with bird heads will take care of those pesky model planes 😛
