My wife got a frantic text from a friend (old mommy network) about her son…
Her son is now married, college educated, and working for a living. But not that long ago (IMO) he was a eager snot nosed kid playing in the creek with my son. I can’t confirm what I am about to disclose to be true, but I heard rumor that some mischievous dad may have slipped a couple PVC bows and back quivers slap full of arrows into their muddy hands. And they may have, again I can’t say for sure, but they may have spent the rest of the day shooting frogs and catfish out of the beaver pond. I heard tell that bad dad may have even fried the fish and frogs up and fed it to the boys that night.
It was said that you could hear the screams of laughter and joy coming from those muddy boys clear out to the main road.
Well those carefree days ended, as all carefree days do. That boy grew into a man but never shot a bow again. Which brings us back to today and my wife’s phone with its frantic cry for help. Seems that boy went crazy and took a hunter education class, bought a bow and all the accessories, shot it in his own back yard all summer, and is now headed off into public lands to hunt deer. Can you imagine such a calamity? What will happen next, cats and dogs sleeping together? What is a mother to do to protect her grown son from the dangers of going wild?
Needless to say, my wife chuckled. I just rubbed my chin and wondered out loud, how could this have happened?
Hard to say. But we farmers know one thing for sure. You have to be patient. Sometimes, it takes a while for seeds to germinate. I wonder what will grow?

Haha
Outstanding Steve. Nice to know the seeds are still being planted and continue to grow!
Well done
