        Hi, I’m Brent and and new to the form. I’ve been bow hunting for 3 years now and love it. I shoot a 50# recurve and have started to make my own wood arrows. I’m in Minnesota and would love to meet some people that are into traditional archery. I’ve been to Footed Shaft and meet some nice people but I’m up in St. Paul. I hunt a lot of public land and there is some nice archery only areas around. Does anyone have recommendation on getting in contact with other traditional hunters? Thank you

          You might try going to local sporting goods stores and ask about other trad shooters.

          Also …………….. If there are any tournaments with-in fifty miles go and check them out. Good people and good times weather you’re a serious shooter or just casual.  Sometimes just the exchange of ideas is worth the drive.

                Thank you for the information. I may try to get to one of those shoots in August. I mostly hunt in the south eastern are of Minnesota and ther are a few archery onlyspots around the twin cities. Looking more up north near St. Croix state forest this season. Once again thank you for reaching out. Hope to see you at a shoot.

                  Hi Brent, a little late to the party here. I am on the north side of the metro. I belong to Rapids Archery Club we have a Trad shoot in June every year you can meet up with many Trad shooters there.
