Hello. I’ve recently retired and am eagerly pursuing my return to traditional bowhunting. I have an old Ben Pearson 60″ recurve 30# draw weight with a 14 strand dacron string that I will be using to develop my form. What would be a good brace height to set up on this bow? Thanks!

          Hi Michael

          Welcome to the forum.

I Havn’t shot a recurve in awhile ( and don’t have any specific Ben Pearson info), but most fall in the 7+” to 9″ range . Bear traditional manual recommends 7″ to 8″. I would start at 7 3/4″. I imagine you recall that you should adjust( twist the string)  up and down some – to find the sweet spot.

Yeah, I concur with scout about 8 inches or just shy ought to be ok.

Welcome back to the joy of stick and string! And of course welcome to the forum.
