For them that make bows, arrows, or any other thing of wood, they must get to know sanding…
I’ve had a few sanding blocks in my time, purchased from lumber stores with great enthusiasm. The enthusiasm generally wanes when I find I have to cut the sand paper to fit the block, or when the clips that hold the block fail, or by finding out I just don’t like how it feels in my hand.
So I made my own out of some scrap wood and it has worked really well. Once I got the kinks worked out, I made a few extra so I wouldn’t have to switch paper to change grits. The cost was right too.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to attach a pdf doc to this message, so I just uploaded it as a jpeg. it may have lost resolution or dimensional stability in the transfer. Hope you find it handy 🙂

Mr Graf
Nice simple design. I think I will make a couple for my own use.
You should make them out of Osage, hickory or port Oxford cedar / Norway spruce etc and sell them to people who make there own bows and arrows. I started writing this as a joke , but on reflection I bet they would sell – haha.
PS – I get 15% for the idea — lol
